If a Person Has Seizures Does That Mean They Have Epilepsy?

by Faces of Epilepsy on October 20, 2011

I guess I'm asking if seizures are the manifestation of the condition called epilepsy. I need information on people with seizures, and when I was looking it up there was info on people with epilepsy, so if they are one in the same I can use the information I have found. Thanks a lot.

well there are different types of seizures but most are connected to your brain. but most of the time people have ‘tonic fits’ due to lack of magnesium in the body. hope this helped

Epilepsy is usually diagnosed when someone has had 3 seizures or has chronic symptoms. There are other tests done as well. Epilepsy Ontario has a great site for people who are either newly diagnosed or are researching.
